Supplier directory
Where the trade actually buys in Perth — supply yards, nurseries, turf farms, paving, retic and hire — plus what a trade account gets you and how to check this list is still current.
Everything on this page was checked on 2 August 2026. WA rules move — the sources are linked so you can confirm anything that matters before you act on it.
Four accounts cover almost every residential job in Perth: a landscape supply yard for soil, mulch, sand, aggregate and limestone blocks; a hardscape supplier for pavers and retaining; a reticulation shop; and a plant source. Open them near where you actually work, not near where you live — a forty-minute tow each way is a day a week gone by Friday.
What a trade account actually gets you
Nobody in Perth publishes their trade terms, so you have to ring. What you are asking for is some combination of five things.
| What you’re asking for | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Trade pricing off retail | The margin on materials is a real part of the job margin |
| 30-day terms | You buy materials before the client pays the progress claim. Terms are cash flow, not a discount |
| A named contact | Someone who will tell you the truth about stock, and hold a pallet |
| Phone or app ordering with site delivery | Ordering from the ute at 6:30am instead of queueing at the counter |
| Returns on unopened stock | Take-offs are estimates. Somewhere to send the spare pavers |
Expect to provide an ABN, and for a credit account, a credit application with trade references. Some suppliers are account-only in any case: Benara will not even show you a price until you sign in. Others run a lighter scheme — Soils Aint Soils runs a Trade Login and a “Trade Discount Membership” you apply for through the yard. Reece offers cash or credit accounts with “personalised trade pricing”. None of them publish the numbers, so treat any quoted discount as negotiable and revisit it once you have twelve months of spend behind you.
Bulk versus bagged
Bulk is cheaper per unit by a wide margin and is how the trade buys. Bagged exists for two reasons only: no truck access, and top-ups.
| Bulk | Bagged | |
|---|---|---|
| Sold by | The cubic metre | Usually 25 L bags |
| Conversion | 1 m³ = 1,000 L | 40 × 25 L bags = 1 m³ |
| Delivery | Tip truck, one trip, priced by zone | Palletised or in the ute |
| Best for | Anything over about half a cube | Access-restricted sites, patching, potting |
Do your take-off in cubic metres and order in cubic metres. “A trailer load” is not a unit and no yard will price against it.
Order the delivery before you order the product. The access envelope is what kills bookings. Soils Aint Soils’ delivery page publishes the numbers to plan around: the 9-tonne tipper is 7 m long and needs 3.3 m of width including mirrors, sits 3.7 m high, and needs 9 to 10 m of clearance when it tips. That last figure rules out any verge under powerlines or a mature street tree. They give you a delivery day, not a time, add a 10% fuel charge, and if the driver arrives and cannot tip where you said, the load goes back to the yard and you still pay the freight.
Landscape supply yards
| Supplier | Where | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Soils Aint Soils | Neerabup, Balcatta and Canning Vale | Open 7 days, 6:30am–5pm Mon–Sat. Soils, mulches, sands, gravels, limestone blocks, cement. Same-day metro delivery, trade login, free 2-hour trailer hire |
| Green Life Soil Co | 166 Wilson Road, Middle Swan | Publishes per-m³ prices online. Named blends rather than generic “garden mix”. Certified organic inputs |
| Richgro | 203 Acourt Road, Jandakot | WA manufacturer of soils, mixes and fertilisers, with a separate landscape and commercial pathway |
Plants
Perth splits three ways, and buying from the wrong one is the most common costing error on a planting schedule.
- Wholesale, trade-only. Benara Nurseries, trademarts at Carabooda (north) and Forrestdale (south). Tubestock through to advanced trees, plus turf and pottery. Account required, pricing behind a login.
- Local-provenance natives. Apace WA in North Fremantle grows Swan Coastal Plain and Darling Range species — the specific claim councils want on revegetation conditions. Walk-in retail up to 200 plants; larger orders go through wholesale. Trillion Trees at Hazelmere grows over 200,000 native seedlings a year and is usually the cheapest source of bulk tubestock.
- Retail garden centres. For client selection days and short-order top-ups. Dawson’s has four Perth stores. Never price a schedule off retail.
Spec the species first from Kings Park’s plant guides, then ask a wholesaler what they hold. To find growers this page has missed, use the Greenlife Industry WA member directory, or the national directory with its NIASA, EcoHort and BioSecure HACCP filters if you are bringing stock across the border.
Turf
Buy from the farm closest to site. Rolled turf is perishable — Greenacres commits to delivery within 24 hours of harvest, and that window is the whole game in a Perth summer. The Turf Growers Association of WA lists all eleven member farms with locations; the Perth-adjacent ones are at Jandabup, West Swan, Wattleup, Baldivis, West Bullsbrook, Serpentine, Neergabby and West Gingin. Book the delivery for the morning you are laying, and have the base finished the day before.
Paving, limestone and retaining
| Supplier | Range |
|---|---|
| Midland Brick | Bricks, pavers, masonry and retaining blocks, Versaloc, plus sand, cement and sealers. Four Perth sites — but Subiaco is a showroom with no stock, and South Guildford’s last pick-up is half an hour before closing |
| UrbanStone | Stone and limestone paving, limestone blocks, porcelain, wall cladding. Now the single WA storefront for Austral Bricks WA products too |
| Soils Aint Soils | Limestone blocks alongside the bulk products, which saves a second delivery |
Check backorders before you commit to a start date. Midland Brick currently flags that some clay brick products are on backorder — a six-week wait on a paver discovered after demolition is your problem, not the client’s.
Reticulation
WA Reticulation Supplies has stores at Armadale, Midland and Rockingham, carries around forty professional brands, serves trade and public, and operates as a Waterwise Garden Design shop. Reece Irrigation & Pools is the national alternative, with trade portal ordering and job-based quoting.
For anyone not on this list, use the Waterwise endorsed member directory — run by Irrigation Australia with Water Corporation and DWER. DWER directs you there itself to find a Waterwise Garden Irrigator or Irrigation Design Shop. It is also how you check a supplier’s rebate claim before repeating it to a client.
Hire
Kennards Hire runs 220 branches and advertises 1–35 tonne excavators, heavy-duty rollers and general kit. Branch density in the metro area means a broken machine can be swapped the same day. Confirm the specific machine with the branch — a small suburban yard does not hold the whole catalogue. Brooks Hire is WA-owned with a Perth City branch and regional coverage from Broome to Albany, which is the realistic option outside the metro.
Both are dry hire: the machine only, no operator and no fuel. Budget the ticketed operator, the fuel and the float, and remember hire runs on calendar days including the ones you spend waiting on an inspection.
This list dates — here is how to check it
Supplier lists rot faster than regulations. In the last few years Total Eden was absorbed into Nutrien Water, brikmakers.com started redirecting to Midland Brick, and Austral Bricks WA folded its WA storefront into UrbanStone. Two businesses that were Perth institutions no longer resolve at the domains everyone still quotes.
So: before you rely on any entry here, load the link. If it redirects to an unfamiliar brand, or does not resolve, the business has been sold, merged or closed. Then work from the directories rather than from a list — Greenlife Industry WA for plants, TGAWA for turf, Waterwise Programs for irrigation. Those are maintained by the industries themselves and outlive any individual supplier.
Prices, opening hours and delivery fees quoted on this page were correct on the check date in each entry and are the first things to go stale. Ring before you tow.
The rules, with sources
Soils Aint Soils' 9-tonne tipper is "7m long and requires 3.3m width (including mirrors). Height is 3.7m, and height when unloading is 9-10m", and their 6-wheeler is 8m long requiring 3.3m width. A 10% fuel charge is added to products, delivery days are offered but not delivery times, and if the driver cannot tip as instructed the load returns to the yard and the delivery fee is still charged.

Soils Aint Soils
Soils Aint Soils
Why this oneThe default first account for most Perth landscapers, because the branch network means you are rarely more than a short tow from a yard. Three yards open seven days — Neerabup (190 Flynn Drive), Balcatta (149B Balcatta Road) and Canning Vale (300 Bannister Road) — trading 6:30am to 5pm Monday to Saturday and 8am to 4pm Sundays and public holidays, which matters when you want the truck loaded before the crew arrives. They stock soils, mulches, sands and gravels alongside limestone blocks, fertilisers, concrete materials and bagged lines, offer same-day delivery across the Perth metropolitan area Monday to Saturday, run a trade login, and lend a trailer free for two hours.

Soils Aint Soils — delivery information
Soils Aint Soils
Why this oneRead this before you promise a client a delivery slot. It publishes the truck envelopes you have to plan access around — the 9-tonne tipper is "7m long and requires 3.3m width (including mirrors). Height is 3.7m, and height when unloading is 9-10m", and the 6-wheeler is 8m long needing the same 3.3m width. That 9 to 10 metre tipping height is the number people forget, and it is why a verge with powerlines or a jacaranda over it is not a drop point. It also states there are no delivery times, only delivery days, that a 10% fuel charge is added to products, and that if the driver cannot tip as instructed the load goes back to the yard and you still pay the delivery fee.

Green Life Soil Co — bulk garden supplies
Green Life Soil Co
Why this oneThe useful counterpoint to the big yards: a Middle Swan operator (166 Wilson Road) that publishes per-cubic-metre prices online instead of making you ring for them, so you can build a take-off before you have an account anywhere. Bulk is "sold in 1m3 amounts here online", with named blends — vegetable, native, lawn top dress, potting, wicking bed — rather than a generic "garden mix", and a bulk delivery zone calculator that prices the tip-truck run separately because "'Bulk product orders' by their nature are done in a tip truck which does a single trip, and therefore delivery costs are higher". Certified organic inputs, which matters if the client asked for it.

Richgro
Richgro Garden Products
Why this oneWA-owned and based at 203 Acourt Road, Jandakot, with products they describe as designed for Australian conditions rather than an east-coast formulation shipped west. The consumer site covers fertilisers, soil mixes, potting mixes, pest and disease control and waterwise lines, and carries a separate "Landscape & Commercial" pathway for larger supply.
Change this for PerthThe main site is a retail brand site, not a yard. It does not publish bulk pricing or a trade counter — ring the Jandakot site or go through the landscape and commercial division before assuming you can pick up by the cube.

Benara Nurseries
Benara Nurseries
Why this oneThe largest trade plant source in WA and the reason your plant schedule is deliverable at all. They state plainly "We are a trade and wholesale nursery" and require you to "Sign in for pricing", so this is an account-or-nothing supplier. Two trademarts — 32 Safari Place, Carabooda in the north (head office and production nursery) and 462 Nicholson Road, Forrestdale in the south — and a range running from revegetation tubestock through to advanced trees, plus turf, pottery and stone. Western Australian family owned since 1963, so the stock is grown for this climate.
Change this for PerthTheir terms contemplate customers buying "for re-supply to other persons as part of the Customer's business" and reference a credit period subject to approval. Expect an ABN and a credit application, and expect to be refused if you are a homeowner.

Apace WA nursery
Apace WA
Why this oneThe place to go when the spec says local provenance and means it. Operating from 1 Johannah Street, North Fremantle since 1989, growing "locally occurring native Western Australian flora species of the Swan Coastal Plain and Darling Range" — which is a genuinely narrower claim than "Australian natives" and the one that satisfies council revegetation and bushfire-adjacent planting conditions. They publish a stock availability checker, sell retail in person for orders of 200 plants or fewer, and route anything larger to their wholesale desk. Open Tuesday to Saturday 8:30am to 2:30pm for retail.

Trillion Trees community nursery
Trillion Trees Australia
Why this oneA volunteer-run not-for-profit nursery at the corner of Stirling Crescent and Amherst Road, Hazelmere, growing over 200,000 native seedlings a year and supplying local councils, landcare groups and gardeners. Established 1987. For large-quantity native tubestock — verge revegetation, bush-block understorey, screening runs where you need three hundred plants and not three — this is usually the cheapest honest source in Perth, and the money stays in revegetation.
Change this for PerthSeedling nurseries run to a planting season, not a retail calendar. Species availability peaks for the autumn-to-winter planting window, so order early rather than expecting stock in February.

Dawson's Garden World
Dawson's Garden World
Why this oneFour Perth garden centres — Forrestfield (170 Hale Road), Swanbourne (153 Railway Street), Joondalup (179 Winton Road) and O'Connor (388 South Street) — trading since 1903 and growing or sourcing much of their own stock locally. Useful as a retail top-up source when a wholesale order lands two plants short, and as the place to send a client who wants to choose feature plants themselves. All four sites appear on Greenlife Industry WA's Waterwise Garden Centre list.

Greenlife Industry WA
Why this oneThe WA nursery industry's own member directory, and the correct answer to "which nursery should I use" once this page goes stale. Membership "includes garden centres, production nurseries and suppliers of allied products", so a single search covers retail, wholesale growing and allied trades, with phone, email and website for each entry across ten pages of listings. Association membership is not an accreditation, but it does mean the business is a going concern that pays to be found.

Why this oneThe list of garden centres endorsed under a program run "in partnership with Water Corporation" to shift buying "towards more water-efficient garden designs, plant selection, mulches, irrigation considerations, soil wetting agents and associated products". Twelve centres are listed, including Dawsons Garden World (Forrestfield, Joondalup, O'Connor, Swanbourne), Garden Affair in South Perth, Garden Elegance in Subiaco, Guildford Town Garden Centre, Miaflora in Inglewood and Zanthorrea Nursery in Maida Vale. Worth using as a shortlist when you want staff who will not sell your client a thirsty hedge.

Why this oneThe national directory, filterable by state and by accreditation, and the one to use when you need something WA cannot grow. Turf Growers Association of WA — growers
Turf Growers Association of Western Australia
Why this oneEleven member turf farms with their locations, which is the whole WA growing industry on one page: AG Buffalo Turf Supplies (Baldivis), Bullsbrook Turf (West Bullsbrook), Betta Turf (Wattleup), Down South Turf Farm (Busselton), Greenacres Turf Group (Serpentine), Lawn Doctor Turf Farms (Jandabup), Ord Valley Turf (Kununurra), Permanent Brook Turf (West Swan), Queensland Blue (West Gingin), True Blue Turf (Bunbury) and West Coast Turf (Neergabby). Why this oneDescribes itself as WA's largest turf farm, with a dedicated trade supply pathway for landscapers and contractors rather than a retail-only order form. They commit to turf arriving "within 24 hours of harvest" and "within 1 hour of the agreed delivery time", which is the commitment that actually matters: rolled turf on a pallet in a Perth summer is a perishable good.
